ELDER Chance Christensen

Its hard to imagine that Chance is really going on a mission, its even harder to imagine that we dropped him off at the MTC better than a month ago. He will be flying to Fiji the first week of December. Fiji, Yes that really great place that people pay lots of money to go on vacation to, and the temperature is aproximalty 72 degrees all year round, and you can eat fish and roast port several days a week, and he gets to wear sandals and a man skirt, and be with some of the kindest people on earth..yup, he is going to be sooo stressed out! I am pretty sure he is going to require a escourt home!

It has really been a awesome experience to watch his testimony grow and his desire to share the gospel take him to this place in his life. We are blessed!

Birds for the taking...

Well, heres the scoop. weve had our fun with the birds. they are really enjoyable creatures. Rachael got them for Christmas last year and we really have had alot of fun with them BUT we are now ready to let someone else have a turn with them.. cage, food, toys and all are ready to go to the first person who is willing to come get them. Rach has decided that she wants to make room for something else.

Mesa Verde. If you havnt been this is a must see. Its a long drive but well worth it. It really makes you appreciate the comforts of life when you take a walk through the cliffs and consider how they got in and out of their homes. Its remarkably beautiful and amazing craftmanship. We got pretty unlucky with one of our tour guides and thought it was neat to stand us out in the sun for a half hour while he brambled on and on, but when we got to the site it was great. Just a heads up if you do plan to go that you will pay a entrance fee, 15.00 I think and 3.00 for each of the tours, per person. Just something I would like to have know. The gift shop leaves alot to be desired but you can find a trinket or two if you look hard.

River Rafting

This is a great get away if your looking for some fun. We loaded up the kids and took them to Green River for a day trip down the rapids. It wasnt as bouncy as last years trip down Catarac Canyon but it was wet and lots of fun.

Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

I just could'nt resist posting these pictures of our trip to the tulip festival. The weather was gorgeous. When we got there there was a sign that said that only 20% of the tulips were open, Barry with his number oriented mind was thinking more like 12 to 15. I would love to have seen it when they were at 100%. Anyway I wanted to post these pictures, especially for Crystal, whom I thought of the whole time I was there because she loves tulips soooo much. Next year perhaps Ill have to take her on a date to see it.
